Stone Plaza

The historic structure at 123 W Lee has been resituated on its parcel, making way for a new public plaza directly across from the Vinton Farmer's Market and Town Stage.

Named "Stone Plaza" in honor of Frank and Janine Stone, 123 W Lee's previous owners and beloved Vintonites, this space will provide an attractive public gathering place for Vinton residents and visitors. New businesses in 121 and 123 W Lee will take full advantage of the plaza - incorporating modern storefronts and wrap-around patios leading onto the new plaza.

McCarty Building Improvements

Facade improvements are being made to the historic McCarty building, including modern vertical cladding, new storefront and entry doors, and new signage.

Alleyway Improvements

The alleyway behind W Lee businesses has been improved to prioritize pedestrian movement throughout Vinton.

A brick paver sidewalk, running from Walnut Avenue to Pollard Street and Lee Avenue, provides a comfortable pedestrian pathway from Vinton's new Walnut Avenue Parking Lot to downtown businesses. Improved lighting and planned rear facade improvements will further enhance the pedestrian experience.

Rear Courtyard

A new courtyard will be constructed behind the W Lee businesses, providing a more private gathering spot for visitors and an opportunity for new storefronts to be located within a pedestrian-friendly area.
